The Orchestra of Northern New York (ONNY)

Welcome to the spectacular 22nd season! As in the past, we look forward to once again bringing you great orchestral literature, brilliant soloists, and an orchestra comprised of inspired professional musicians from our region, the Northeast and Canada!

We are committed to presenting an outstanding array of concerts that are designed to satisfy the most eclectic tastes and ears of our audience. From the incomparable Pictures at an Exhibition by Mussorgsky and the powerful Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1 to the brilliant sounds of the Baroque (Pleasures of the Courts) and the elegance of Mendelssohn, Mozart and Haydn, you will find a great palate of color and brilliance in these magnificent performances. In addition, please join us for our ever popular pops series both at Christmastime (An Old Fashioned Christmas) and the Fourth of July (Broadway by Demand). This year the audience will be given the opportunity to vote throughout the year to determine which music from Broadway will be performed on our July pops concert.

We are also proud to present the fourth annual James and Catherine Andrews Young Artist Instrumental Competition that will spotlight one of our region's outstanding young artists. This continues to be one of the only competitions in the United States that offers monetary awards as well as the opportunity to solo with a professional orchestra.
